The San Diego Education Association presented a giant petition to the San Diego Unified School District Wednesday. It's about the length of a football field.
SDEA says it's not happy about the threat of bigger class sizes, the heavy emphasis on testing and constant transferring of teachers.
It is promising to help improve the system, but also calls on the district to take steps in providing a better learning environment.
"We call on you Shelia Jackson and the rest of the school board including to reverse the downward trajectory of our district," said SDEA President Camille Zombro
About 100 teachers took part in the event.
