Thanks to Honoring Our Troops and all of the SlaterCrusaders who packed 424 boxes headed off to the front lines in Afghanistan!

We had a wonderful Saturday morning together at the stunning Veterans Museum in Balboa Park. We started at 9 and expected to be done at 3, but by 11:30 we had the last box on the back of the truck. Many hands make light work, and there's nothing better than good people doing good things!

That being said, if you couldn't make it on Saturday, it costs a lot of money to ship these boxes, and Honoring Our Troops needs your help. Please Adopt A Troop to help pay for shipping. We can't let all these boxes go to waste!

And a huge thank you to the San Diego Red Cross and all the lifeguards who let me be a part of their 7th Annual Lifeguard Games on Sunday. The special race was 1 lap freestyle, 1 lap swimming upright with the red lifeguard buoy thing between your legs, 1 lap with a plastic spoon in your mouth balancing a ping-pong ball, and 1 lap freestyle. It was an epic battle, but I won the AM talk radio show host division by a landslide.
