The man on the right of this picture is US Navy SEAL Aaron Vaughn. He was on the helicopter that crashed on Saturday. The Vaughn family is a part of the SlaterCrusader family. They've been to all of our Freedom Celebrations, care package drives and military fundraisers. It breaks our heart for this beautiful family to be in pain.
To the military families: We will ALWAYS keep your loved ones in the front of our minds and the top of our prayers everyday.
To our service members: We will never give up on you. We love you.
To our veterans: Thank you for setting a standard of excellence that our current service members work to maintain.
The end of the Warrior Creed says, "I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life."
In uniform or a mere civilian, we are ALL guardians of freedom.
To the civilians: as our greatest men and women are fulfilling their promise, are you holding up your end of the bargain?
I know I can do more.

If our politicians refuse to WIN in Afghanistan, we need to come home. Tomorrow I want to talk about the foreign policy our founding fathers wished for America (the threats have changed, but the principles remain the same). It's a foreign policy consistent with a free country and a government that protects the God given rights of every American.
There is a big difference between "isolationism" and "separatism". We'll explain tomorrow.
Until then, let's always remember the men who served and lost their lives in Afghanistan.
