Charles had such an important question this morning! You have to hear it to get the true essence of it, but Charles is certainly not alone, I was wondering the same thing just yesterday!
Here is his question:

So, the question of the day is, how do you define yourself? How would you answer this question?
I am a ____ because _______.
I think, after hearing your amazing phone calls this morning, I would answer that question: "I am a capitalist, because I believe in liberty."
At first glance that may look like nothing, but if you're able to define your terms, I think that answer is everything. But, there is no wrong answer here.
Here are some E-mail examples this morning:
David:
"I am an AMERICAN constitutionalist, because it's every citizens duty to be a steward of freedom and our constitution."
Aaron:
"I am an INDEPENDENT CAPITALIST COMMON SENSE CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE in support of freedom, small government and a literal interpretation of the founding document.
BECAUSE……
Government should be the road signs, not the driver of the car."
Monica:
"I am an independent because I love freedom. (Being independent allows you to think about Principle before party.)
I am fiscally conservative and believe in the free market but I am socially liberal. Do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone else or their property."
Maggie:
"I am a Constitutionalist and an American because I have ancestors who had the desire to live under liberty, to define their own lives and to recognize that all we have is because of God and His love for us. I am still an American because I choose to live under liberty (however fleeting it may be), define my own life and recognize all I have is because of God and His love for me."
Feel free to post your answer in the comments below!
The next question is: does it matter what your label is? I think the second "blank" is much more important than the first.
