Here were my favorite parts about the Rick Perry event last night, in no particular order:

-50 members of the USD College Republicans were there. FIFTY! And not for course credit, but because they are concerned about the future of their country. GREAT to see. And next week I'm speaking at the SDSU College Republicans. The future of San Diego politics is strong.

-I asked everyone there (about 800 people) to raise their hand if they are 100% decided on who they're going to vote for president. I'd say maybe 20-30 people raised their hand. I then asked everyone to raise their hand if they are interested in learning more about the candidates. Every other hand went up. This is GREAT news; we're keeping and open mind and we're ready for a vibrant election process over the next 7 months until the primary.

-Everyone there was fired up! There were 800 really passionate patriots ready to SPREAD THE WORD! That's the key to getting as many true conservatives to office as possible.

-And my absolute favorite part of last night was leaving the event at the airport, there was an amazing view of our beautiful city's skyline. What a blessing it is to call San Diego home! I was going to take a picture of it, but the gypsies stole my phone in France.
