Call it a "Neighborhood Reinvestment Program," call it a slush fund or a reelection reserve. Whatever it is, I don't think we should let each county supervisor spend $1 million of YOUR money on whatever they want.

They're all pretty worthy causes on the surface, but I didn't realize that we elected county supervisors to hand out money to things they like. Especially when CalFire is being cut and parents have to spend so much money on school supplies that schools can't afford.
