We all know that college tuition is completely out of control expensive. But have you ever wondered why?
Politicians love to say, "Vote for me and I'll make college more affordable!" The president just signed an Executive Order that gives more money to kids to pay for college. But it's precisely because the government keeps trying to make college more affordable that makes college so expensive!
How can this be? I gave the full explanation at 8:00 (after 4 minutes of goofing off), and then we had some GREAT phone calls:

As we continue Military Week, at 7:00 we talked about the GI Bill. The Veteran Coordinator at SDSU gave us some valuable insight into our veterans higher education options:

And some good news, the Marines have increased the Tuition Assistance BACK to $3,500 a year (two weeks ago they cut it 75% to $875 a year, but that didn't last long, thank goodness!).
ps, our veterans deserve free college tuition. The government giving veterans money for tuition is completely different than the government giving EVERYONE free tuition. As Sailor Jason said in an E-mail, "If someone wants their tuition paid for, tell them to join the service for 4 years and their college will be free! But it will require them to actually work."
