The root of the word "war" comes from the old German word "to bring into confusion".
Could there be a better definition of war? To make matters worse, we are confused ourselves! We are lacking our own rational ethical code and we've lost sight of the true purpose of the American military - to protect the lives and rights of the American people. We are already confused, and then we wage a war which brings us even more into a state of confusion.
Here are the steps: Define the threat. Define the mission. Unleash the warriors. Eliminate the threat. Come home.
I want to make sure we realize that every American service member's life is sacred.
I want to make sure our service members are put into a war zone for an objective purpose; knowing who the enemy is and what victory looks like.
And I want to make sure that the threat we are eliminating is endangering the lives of Americans.
With the news of the remains of fallen heroes being disrespected, I'm not that surprised. I'm unfortunately not surprised that we treat our war dead with disrespect because I think we treat our war living with disrespect.
