One of the excuses for the Iraq War is "we are spreading democracy in the Middle East!"
Iran used to be a democracy. They were a democracy until we overthrew their democratically elected prime minister and installed a brutal dictator to take his place. It was called Operation AJAX.

Once you know this history, I find it impossible to come to the conclusion that non-intervention is to blame for Iran being a threat to America. If anything, it's our way TOO much intervention in Iran that has caused all of this.
At 7:00, we talked about why - as George Washington said - "a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness [of a foreign country]...will lead [us] astray from [our] duty and [our] interest."
