USD Assistant Professor May Fu sent out this E-mail urging students and faculty to Occupy: USD.

If you thought this was maybe a rogue liberal professor, the faculty then issued this resolution in support of Occupy: San Diego:

Whereas growing inequality in the United States rooted in a corrupted political process is corroding our democracy and tarnishing the American Dream,

Whereas cutbacks in traditional government services, the dismantling of social safety nets and of programs intended to promote fairness and opportunity, and to benefit those who are least well off, are contrary to Catholic Social Teaching,

Whereas Occupy San Diego's peaceful demonstration to protest these inequities is an exercise of our First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that faculty of the University of San Diego College of Arts and Sciences express their approval and support for Occupy San Diego

We can only presume they also support today's shut down of the port.

This morning we talked with the president of the USD College Republicans Kaila Weedman about Occupy: USD and their "Commies Aren't Cool" anti-Che event that resulted in them having to undergo sensitivity training:

Send me an E-mail to Slater@760KFMB.com if you would like to donate to the USD College Republicans so they can host the College Republican Convention here in May. This is an amazing group of kids who need our support.
