Motorcyclist killed in East County crash, ID'd

DULZURA (CNS) - Authorities Tuesday identified a 24-year-old San Diego man killed when he crashed a motorcycle in the East County while riding in a pack of motorcyclists.

Daniel C. Dacon, Jr. sustained fatal injuries on eastbound state Route 94 east of Romo Drive in Dulzura about 11 a.m. Monday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Dacon was riding a motorcycle when he entered an S-curve at a high rate of speed and slid into a guard rail, the Medical Examiner's Office reported. He died at the scene.
