If George Washington was running for president today, would he LOOK presidential?

We asked this question yesterday at 6:00:

E-mail of the day yesterday from Matt:

"Are We Just As Bad As What We're Trying To Be Better Than?
A great question, and the answer is yes. Every person that cites "electibility" as a reason to vote for someone is just as bad as those we're trying to be better than.
We have allowed our primary to become a beauty pageant with a slightly longer question and answer session and no swimsuit competition.
It is personally embarrassing to think we have devolved to this point, and it is up to the Slater Crusaders and our allies to elevate the discourse."

Indeed, Matt! Which is why I proposing this challenge: think of 3 rock solid reasons why you support your candidate for president.

By the end of the month, have THREE rock solid reasons.

One you come up with the three reasons, make sure they're better than, "I want to have a beer with him," "He looks presidential," "It's his turn," "He looks like a nice guy." If they're not, back to the drawing board.

I don't know what your 3 reasons are. I just think it's important that we are better than what we saw in 2008, "I'm voting for him because he's a cool guy."

Here is the conclusion to yesterday's segment:
