SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A woman struck by a Jeep and pinned under its trailer while trying to cross a Pacific Beach street was hospitalized Saturday.
The accident on Loring Street near Cass Street was reported at 5:07 p.m., San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
The woman had just stepped out of a car, and the Jeep driver drove around the stopped vehicle, striking her, Stafford said. Police withheld the woman's name, identifying her only as 46 years old.
"The pedestrian was pinned under the Jeep's trailer," he said.
The woman was taken to a hospital with head injuries and reported in critical condition, Stafford said.
