SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The FBI Saturday sought the public's assistance to identify a man suspected of robbing a bank in San Diego's Mountain View neighborhood near Mount Hope Cemetery.

The suspect used a demand note to rob the Chase Bank at 4415 Imperial Ave. about 4:10 p.m. Monday, according to FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth.

The robber threatened to have had a weapon, although one was not seen, Foxworth said.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount and was last seen getting into the driver's side of a silver PT Cruiser, Foxworth said.

The suspect was described as a white man in his late 40s to early 50s with a small beard patch under his bottom lip. He was about 5 feet-8 to 5 feet-9 and weighted between 160 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a Stussy brand beanie cap, a green hooded zip-up jacket, blue jean shorts and eye glasses with plastic rectangular shaped lenses.

The FBI asked anyone with information concerning the robbery to contact them at (858) 565-1255 or to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
