SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Port of San Diego may decide the future of the downtown waterfront statue Tuesday.
The 25-foot sculpture dubbed "Unconditional Surrender" is due to be removed at the end of the month.
It's been on loan since 2007, and is scheduled to go to a sculpture garden in New Jersey.
There's been some discussion of making it a permanent fixture, but at Tuesday's meeting the Port Board will discuss keeping the statue until May.
