
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities Sunday released the name of a man who was stabbed to death during an apparent argument near Mt. Hope Cemetery in San Diego.
Emiliano Cortez, 48, was stabbed about 4:40 a.m. Saturday at T street near South 37th Street. Paramedics found him on the ground and transported him to a local trauma center, where he died about an hour later, Lt. Kevin Rooney of the San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit said.
Neighbors told homicide detectives Saturday that they heard people arguing before the saw a man down on the sidewalk. They also saw two men running east on T Street shortly after the incident, Rooney said.

Officers were called to T Street near south 37th Street for a report of a man down.
Paramedics found the man and took him to a local trauma center where he died.
Neighbors told homicide detectives that they heard people arguing and saw two men running east on T Street shortly after the incident.
The victim's name has not been released.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
