Sailor aboard USS Carl Vinson dies overseas

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A sailor assigned to the USS Carl Vinson, home-ported in San Diego, died during a port visit in the United Arab Emirates, the Department of Defense announced Sunday.

Petty Officer First Class Paris S. Pough, a 40-year-old hull technician from Columbus Ga., died on Friday in Dubai, according to a statement.

Details of Pough's death were not immediately available.
