SDG&E is raising their rates because they are a monopoly! A LEGALIZED monopoly, granted the privilege (by government) to supply energy to homes without any competition.

We talked with county supervisor Diane Jacob yesterday at 7:00 and she was outraged that SDG&E wants to raise their rates. Of course they want to raise their rates. Why wouldn't they? No other company is allowed to compete and offer energy at a lower rate.

We need to get to the root of this problem, stop hacking at the branches. There is no reason energy distribution cannot compete in a free market like every other commodity.
