Slater talked to the Executive Director of the San Diego-Imperial Council of Boy Scouts, Kelly Burt and the winner of Connor Stotts and his father, Major Brian Stotts about the story of Connor risking his life to save the lives of others from drowning during his own baptism.
The Boy Scouts honored Conner at the Eagle Scout dinner with The Honor Medal with Crossed Palms, the highest award of valor given in the scouts, and only awarded 270 times since its inception. Read more on the story here.
