Big rig fire snarls traffic in Mission Valley - San Diego, California Talk Radio Station - 760 KFMB AM - 760kfmb

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A big rig erupted in flames on a Mission Valley freeway Wednesday, causing traffic problems while fire crews extinguished the fire.

It happened on eastbound Interstate 8 near Texas Street. A view from Chopper 8 showed fire crews hosing down the vehicle, which was severely damaged by fire.

Emergency crews closed down at least two lanes of traffic, causing a backup for at least a mile.
