SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Miramar Road early Monday, sending one person to the hospital and spilling diesel and possibly other chemicals into the roadway, authorities said.
The crash in the 7300 block of Miramar Road occurred around 3:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
Medics transported one person to Scripps Memorial Hospital, a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher said. The extent of the victim's injury was unclear early Monday morning.
A SigAlert was in effect while crews worked to clean up the spill, police said.
The vehicle was hauling items for Home Depot, including paint supplies, a local news station reported.
Miramar Road was reopened between Dowdy Road and Carroll Road at around noon, but Carroll Road remained closed for cleanup into early afternoon.
