SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A couple arrested in a drug bust in which about 650 pot plants were seized in Bay Park and Rolando homes pleaded not guilty Tuesday to 10 charges, including cultivation and possession for sale of marijuana.
April Lynn Currier, 30, and her 32-year-old husband, Tiran, were arrested July 17 at a home in the 2900 block of McGraw Street, just east of Mission Bay Park, said Amy Roderick of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
At the same time, federal agents were raiding a house in the 6200 block of Estelle Street that was being used to grow pot, she said.
Judge David Szumowski allowed each of the defendants to remain free on $25,000 bail. The judge set a readiness conference for Sept. 12 and a preliminary hearing for Oct. 3.
Besides the drug charges, the Curriers face counts of grand theft and interfering with power lines.
