Masked gunman robs Midtown gas station - San Diego, California Talk Radio Station - 760 KFMB AM - 760kfmb

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police Friday were investigating an armed robbery at a Shell gas station in San Diego's Midtown neighborhood.

Wearing dark clothing and a mask, the robber entered the station at 3535 India Street through the rear door just before 10 p.m. Thursday, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

He pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash, then fled with an unknown amount of money, possibly escaping in a white van, he said.

The clerk was not injured, Stafford said.
