SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A tape-delayed telecast of the Olympic opening ceremony will be shown Friday on two screens on the flight deck of the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum.
The free event will feature the BMX Olympic team, that will make an appearance before leaving for London; archers from the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, who will conduct demonstrations; and the Paralympic soccer team, which will participate in a juggling contest, the museum's Scott McGaugh said.
Visitors will be able to obtain autographs and take photos with the Olympic torch. Lightweight lawn chairs and blankets will be allowed, and traditional British food will be sold, including bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherd's pie and crisps.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
