SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A military hero will be laid to rest Friday at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Colonel Richard Rothwell earned the Silver Star for his service in the battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. On Friday the local veteran will be honored with a Marine Corps flyover.
