SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An autopsy was pending Sunday on a 57-year-old Coronado man who died when he fell off his sailboat in San Diego Bay, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The man, whose name was unavailable, was sailing with two friends near National City when he fell overboard about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.
The passengers on the 36-foot "La Paloma" radioed for help but were unable to handle the boat well enough to get the man out of the water, U-T San Diego reported.
A U.S. Coast Guard crew was alerted, and U.S. Naval Security and San Diego Harbor Police recovered the body.
