SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An investigation was underway Saturday into an alcohol-related crash in San Diego's Mission Bay Park that left a 52-year-old woman with serious but non-life threatening head and internal injuries.
The woman was driving her 2000 Nissan Sentra westbound in the 500 block of Sea World Drive around 5:29 a.m. Friday when she sideswiped a light pole and drove off the road, down an embankment and into a tree, said San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.
She was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive, he said.
"Alcohol was involved," Cali said.
