
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A would-be robber ran off empty-handed from a North Clairemont area bar Saturday, San Diego police said.
The suspect, who was armed with a gun, entered the Watering Hole at 4766 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. about 10 a.m. by following an employee's boyfriend in through the back door, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.
The would-be robber and ran out the back door after he was spotted, Cali said. No loss was reported.
The suspect was described as a thin black man in his early 20s with a light complexion and a white bandana covering his face. He was wearing black shirt and dark jeans.
