
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego authorities are investigating the death of a female pedestrian struck by an Amtrak train Sunday, a sheriff's deputy said.
The northbound train struck the female at about 3:25 p.m., at the northbound Interstate 5 at Washington Street, said Deputy Dawn Patterson.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Patterson said.
"The cause and manner of death, as well as a positive identification of the decedent will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office," she said.
