SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Two San Diegans have located the wreckage from a deadly yacht crash off the coast of Baja.
The Aegean is believed to have run aground in April, killing four people on board.
Charter boat captain, Russell Moore took an interest in the story. He works in the waters of San Diego and Northern Baja and wanted to help.
"I felt like it was my backyard and I was intrigued. I wanted to get to the bottom of the mystery," said Russell Moore with Xplore Offshore.
Moore and his partner, Ed Harris, had to wait to search the area, because the waters were too rough. But when the conditions were right, they jumped in.
The debris has been turned over to the Coast Guard, which is still investigating the crash.
