Increased DUI checkpoints during Labor Day weekend - San Diego, California Talk Radio Station - 760 KFMB AM - 760kfmb

CHULA VISTA (CNS) - Police impounded nine vehicles during an overnight DUI/Driver's License checkpoint in Chula Vista Saturday.

Of the nine vehicles impounded, four were impounded on a 30-day hold and five on no holds, according to a department statement.

No motorists were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving during the checkpoint in the 1000 block of Third Ave., which began at 7 p.m. Friday and ended today at 1 a.m.

One motorist was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana. Police also issued 12 citations for various vehicle code violations.
