EL CAJON (CNS) - El Cajon police Monday discovered buildings in Kennedy Park had been vandalized with graffiti that included swastikas and other symbols used by hate groups.

Police found an "extensive amount" of graffiti on the buildings in the park at 1675 E. Madison Ave., according to El Cajon police Lt. Tim Henton.

Buildings were tagged with words, phrases and symbols associated with hate groups, including swastikas, Henton said.

No similar incidents were reported in the area, Henton said.

Henton said officers found witnesses who may be able to help identify suspects, but asked anyone with additional information to call police at (619) 579-3311 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
