SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Residents in the South County are pushing Caltrans to finally clean up a storage site they say has turned into an eyesore.
The parcel of land is in the Bay Terraces area on Briarwood Road near SR-54, and is currently being leased to a private contractor.
Neighbors say the area is a public hazard, and that Caltrans has failed to deliver on promises to clean it up over the years.
Assemblyman Marty Block lead a meeting with residents and Caltrans representatives Tuesday night at Zamorano Elementary School to discuss the issue.
