SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Three local schools have been chosen to help launch a national campaign to raise awareness of teen prescription drug abuse.
The Wake Up Program takes over a school for a day with signs, banners and presentations aimed at educating students about prescription drug dangers.
Thousands of students at San Diego High School also got literal "wake up" calls at home with facts about addiction.
University City High and Francis Parker School are also participating in the Wake Up Campaign.
