"Michael's decision to suddenly leave radio was a complete surprise" said KFMB-AM Program Director Dave Sniff in response to the notice nationally syndicated talk radio host Michael Savage posted on his website late Thursday (9/27) saying that he has prevailed in his legal battle with his long time syndicator, Talk Radio Network. According to Savage, the arbitration ruling in his favor means that he's now free to pursue opportunities with other networks and syndicators. He gave no indication of any imminent new deal, saying only that he would likely be of the air for "some time." With Savages future plans unknown KFMB-AM is moving in a new direction. Brett Winterble will now cover the 9pm- 12 midnight shift.
