SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - An Escondido family used the entrepreneurial spirit to raise money to help their injured puppy.
The Yarbrough family found four-month-old Buddy on their front porch Thursday night in obvious pain. The puppy had suffered a broken leg.
When they took him to the vet, they were told he had a broken leg and needed a $3,700 surgery. The family didn't have the money, but when they sat down to talk about Buddy, 11-year-old Kali and six-year-old Lily came up with the idea of a lemonade stand to raise money.
The two held their lemonade stand on Sunday and raised $520 to help with Buddy's care.
