SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A brush fire that broke out near a trolley station in Mission Valley has been put out.
The blaze was reported around 7:30 p.m. Monday in a riverbed off of Camino Del Rio North near Ward Street.
Trolley traffic was shut down for two hours while crews gained access to the area under a trolley bridge.
The CHP closed off the Interstate-8 west off-ramp to south Interstate-15 because of blowing embers.
Firefighters on the ground were aided by a helicopter that made two water drops.
The fire burned about a quarter of an acre. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
