SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police were on the lookout Wednesday for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a Mira Mesa park and stabbing her brother in the head with a screw driver.
Police officers were called to Hourglass Field Community Park on Black Mountain Road just after 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford. The 30-something woman told officers that she called her brother and a friend for help after she was sexually assaulted by a man in the park, he said in a statement.
Once at the park, her brother confronted the man and was stabbed in the head when the assailant produced a screwdriver, Stafford said. Medics took the siblings to area hospitals. The extent of the brother's injury was not immediately reported.
Police described the suspect as a black man in his 40s, last seen wearing all black clothing.
