OTAY RANCH (CNS) - The Chula Vista Police Department Sunday was investigating a string of more than 25 vehicle vandalism cases and 3 residential vandalism cases in the area of 1800 Magdalena Ave.

"Cars and garage doors were targeted along Magdalena and several side streets," said Chula Vista Police Lt. Eric Thunberg. "The damage consisted mostly of spray paint on cars, garage doors or broken car windows."

Thunberg said most of the crimes occurred Saturday night or this morning.

Thunberg said some of the damage consisted of crudely drawn swastikas or parts of the human body.

"It appears the victims' were randomly targeted," he said.

There was no suspect information.

Anyone with information was asked to call Chula Vista Police at (619) 691-5151.
