SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Gary Sinise Foundation is hosting an appreciation day for the Naval Medical Center this weekend.
The center's C5 program is celebrating its fifth year of medical care for combat-wounded sailors.
Naval Medical Center personnel have been commemorating the event all week long, with guest lectures and agility demonstrations by wounded sailors.
Saturday's celebration will include musical acts, a barbaque lunch and a performance by Circue du Soleil. The purpose is to honor those who have sacrificed for our country and to thank the health providers who care for them.
