SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - People who drive vehicles powered by compressed natural gas now have another place to fuel up.
A grand opening ceremony was held Wednesday at a new green energy station near Lindbergh Field. Mayor Sanders says the opening of the station represents the latest milestone in building an infrastructure to support a growing demand for alternative fuel vehicles.
"Facilities like this one will help to diversify our alternative fuel infrastructure, promote clean transportation and improve our environment," Sanders said.
The new fueling station will be used by airport transport buses, shuttles, vans and other compressed natural gas vehicles in the area.
