SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Sunday, the father of a young man shot in the head during a violent crime spree says he is hoping for a miracle.
The 20-year-old victim was critically wounded in Hillcrest last week.
Police say he was shot in the head by 40-year-old Philip Martin Hernandez during a violent chain of events that spanned the county.
The victim's father told News 8 his son is responding to some commands and hopes his story will inspire others to fight against difficult odds.
