SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police Tuesday investigated a home-invasion robbery in Serra Mesa in which three men targeted a family residence where marijuana was being grown.
The home invasion robbery in the 8500 block of Hurlbut Street was reported at 10:53 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.
Three men armed with handguns entered the home through a rear door and threatened a 45-year-old man, a 45-year-old woman and their 17- and 10-year-old children, Stafford said in a statement.
The gunmen took cash and marijuana before fleeing in an unknown direction, he said, noting all three wore dark clothing and carried backpacks.
No one was hurt.
