
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines began flying Thursday between San Diego, Portland, Ore., and Los Cabos, Mexico.
The daily service departs Portland at 6:15 a.m., arrives at Lindbergh Field at 8:45 a.m., leaves for Los Cabos at 10:40 a.m. and arrives at the Mexican tourist resort at 1:45 p.m.
The return run departs Los Cabos at 2:40 p.m. and gets back to Lindbergh Field at 3:55 p.m. The leg to Portland leaves at 8:51 p.m. and arrives at 11:21 p.m.
"This new service on Spirit Airlines is great news for San Diego and Baja California," said Robert Gleason, chairman of the board of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. "We are pleased to partner with Spirit
Airlines on this exciting new service, and we look forward to the boost to tourism it will bring to both our regions."
The new destinations added to the Florida-based routes to and from San Diego, which also include Dallas/Fort Worth and Las Vegas.
