Man found drowned in backyard swimming pool ID'd

EL CAJON (CNS) - A man found drowned in a backyard swimming pool in early September was publicly identified Sunday.

The victim was Jose Luis Rodriguez, 31, a transient, the Medical Examiner said.

On Sunday, Sept. 2, Rodriguez's body was found floating and unresponsive in the backyard swimming pool of a home at 1031 Terrace Crest in El Cajon.

The Medical Examiner said the victim had drowned, and that acute methamphetamine intoxication had contributed to his death.
