SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Two San Diego students have won an anti-bullying essay contest.
U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy announced the winners Tuesday. Middle schooler Tiffani Hamilton received an honorable mention, and high school student Adrian Altez won first place.
The contest is part of an effort to prevent, respond to and stop bullying on campus and online. Students were encouraged to share their own stories of bullying and their ideas on what to do about it.
In October, the U.S. Attorney's Office held a series of anti-bullying rallies on local school campuses.
