SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - NTC Liberty Station is celebrating another major milestone.

A grand opening ceremony was held Thursday for the completion of the $23 million phase 2 of the Liberty Station Project.

Eight historic Navy buildings at the site of the former naval training center were refurbished to make room for art galleries, shops and several other new tenants.
