SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – Local firefighters hit the streets Monday morning to raise money for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
Firefighters from the City of San Diego stood on street corners in seven locations Monday, including downtown.
All of the money raised will go to the FDNY Foundation, which will distribute it to families in need.
"We're doing our best to try to raise some money for the people who are struggling. Many of them lost their homes and they don't even have enough insurance to rebuild them," SD Firefighters President Frank De Clercq said.
