SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – It was a rude awakening for neighbors in Spring Valley early Wednesday morning, after hearing the sound of cars crashing.

A suspected drunk driver smashed into several parked cars along Barcelona Street. The male driver then flipped over his own vehicle.

A crowd came out to see the damage, while paramedics rushed the man to the hospital.

There is no word on his condition as of this report.
