Small brush fire scorches trees along I-5 - San Diego, California Talk Radio Station - 760 KFMB AM - 760kfmb

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A small brush fire scorched an embankment and some trees along the northbound I-5 freeway on Monday.

It happened around 4 a.m. just south of Clairemont Drive.

A passing police car spotted the flames and called the fire department. 

Fire crews arrived shortly after and put the blaze out in minutes.

No structures were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation
